What happens after a chemical peel?

You might experience temporary changes in skin color, redness, swelling, and skin tenderness after a chemical peel. The amount of time it takes for your skin to heal is:

• 1-7 days for superficial peels
• 7-14 days for medium peels
• 14-21 days for deep peels
